As the Founder of Winnipeg Spine and Sport, Dr. Jeff Holliday is passionate about seeing people move better.
“Simply put, I pursued a career in heath care to help people. From a very young age this path was instilled in me as I watched and worked alongside my father in his small-town pharmacy. His devotion to educating the community lit a passion in me for physical medicine and rehabilitation that has guided my practice as a chiropractor.”
Through his years in practice, Dr. Holliday has seen too many patients come in for treatment who have been relegated to accepting their pain or inability to perform regular activities as part of aging or injury. This has driven a dedication to pursuing innovative, evidence-informed therapeutic techniques and rehabilitative strategies so that his patients can be confident they’re receiving the best possible support for their physical recovery. “It’s not just about treating the pain. I want to look at every facet of your physical health to discover the root cause of your pain so you get lasting relief.”
Dr. Holliday holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and graduated with honours from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2003. He is certified in Active Release Techniques®, is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is Titleist Performance Institute Certified. He is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Manitoba Chiropractors Association and the National Strength & Conditioning Association. His experience in the understanding and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions has also given him the opportunity to work with a number of youth, amateur, and professional athletes and affiliated organizations, including the Calgary Stampeders (CFL), the Calgary Hitmen (WHL), the Canadian Men’s and Women’s Skeleton and Bobsleigh teams, the Canadian Women’s Freestyle Skiing team, the Italian Men’s Bobsleigh team and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
In his spare time, Dr. Holliday enjoys staying active with his wife and four children, including participating in running and triathlon events. As a family they enjoy swimming and water skiing at the lake during the
summer, but come winter they can never resist the urge to head to the mountains for downhill skiing.
